Chargemap will be attending the Intercharge Network Conference (ICNC) in Berlin from 1 to 3 September 2026. Our team will be on site to meet partners, industry peers, public stakeholders and innovators shaping the future of EV charging in Europe.
Key Takeaways
This year’s ICNC theme, “Collaboration at Scale: Establishing the Open Smart Charging Ecosystem,” comes at a pivotal moment for the eMobility sector. As EV adoption continues to grow, the industry must work collectively to make charging simpler, more reliable and more interoperable for every driver.
At Chargemap, this has been our mission from the start: helping EV drivers find, access and pay for charging across Europe with confidence, while supporting a more open, user-centric charging ecosystem.
Chargemap will be represented in Berlin by a cross-functional team covering strategy, technology, international development and operations. They look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new partners across the eMobility ecosystem!
Why ICNC matters for Chargemap
The Intercharge Network Conference has become one of Europe’s key gatherings for the EV charging industry, bringing together charge point operators, eMobility service providers, automakers, policymakers, technology providers and infrastructure experts.
For Chargemap, ICNC is an opportunity to exchange on the topics that matter most for the next stage of eMobility:
- improving the charging experience for EV drivers;
- strengthening interoperability across networks and services;
- supporting transparent, reliable and user-friendly charging;
- preparing for new European regulatory requirements;
- exploring the role of smart charging, Plug & Charge and emerging digital standards;
- building partnerships that make cross-border charging easier.
Chargemap to lead discussions on the in-car charging experience and cybersecurity
As part of the ICNC week in Berlin, Chargemap will take part in a ChargeUp Europe members-only side event on 1 September.
Hakan Ebabil, CTO at Chargemap, will co-host two workshops alongside other ChargeUp Europe members:
- a first session on cybersecurity, co-led with GreenWay;
- a second session, co-led with Electra, on EVSO, telematics and maximizing the in-car charging experience.
For Chargemap, this second workshop will be a key moment to present the Electric Vehicle Service Operator (EVSO) concept, and to open a discussion on how vehicle data and user-centric design can help create a smoother charging journey, directly from the vehicle.
Although the workshops are open to ChargeUp Europe members only, Chargemap is proud to contribute to these strategic conversations and to help advance a more open, interoperable and driver-focused charging ecosystem. If you are interested in discussing EVSO and telematics during ICNC, Hakan will be available throughout the event.
